While South Korea’s appeal is truly global, a significant portion of its foreign enrolment comes from neighbouring Asian countries. Vietnam and China dominate the list, together accounting for nearly two-thirds (64%) of all international students.

Vietnam leads with 107,807 students
China follows closely with 86,179 students
Other key countries include Uzbekistan (18,155), Mongolia (17,870), and Nepal (15,515)
